The LI-COR LI-300 and LI-350 are rugged sensors designed for accurate, long-term monitoring of soil moisture and soil temperature. The more advanced LI-350 also measures soil Electrical Conductivity (EC).
The sensors are designed for professional applications including agriculture, greenhouses, irrigation management, horticulture and environmental research. Their watertight construction and stainless-steel tines make them suitable for long-term use across a wide range of soils and growing media.
Both sensors measure Volumetric Water Content (VWC) and soil temperature. The right model depends on the parameters you need to measure and how you want to integrate the sensor into your monitoring system.

The LI-300 is a practical solution when soil moisture and temperature are your primary measurements and an analog output is required.
The LI-350 provides additional functionality by measuring bulk EC and using a digital SDI-12 interface, making it particularly suitable for more advanced monitoring networks and research installations.

In water, the sensors reach 90% of their final response in less than 20 seconds.

The LI-300 provides an analog voltage output, making it easy to integrate with compatible data loggers and monitoring systems.
The LI-350 uses the digital SDI-12 interface, a widely used communication standard for environmental and agricultural sensor networks.
