Milesight EM500-UDL Ultrasonic Level and Distance Sensor

Measurement data is transmitted wirelessly via LoRaWAN®, making the EM500-UDL particularly suitable for locations where installing cables or providing a permanent power supply is difficult or expensive.

Non-contact level and distance measurement

The EM500-UDL measures without making direct contact with the medium. Installed above the surface, the ultrasonic sensor determines the distance to the surface using reflected ultrasonic waves.

Depending on the model, measurement ranges of up to 10 metres are available. With a resolution of 1 mm, the sensor is suitable for a wide range of applications requiring continuous level or distance monitoring.

Wireless measurement via LoRaWAN

Measurement data is transmitted via LoRaWAN®, allowing sensors to be installed at considerable distances from a gateway and enabling multiple measurement points to be combined within a single network.

The internal 19,000 mAh battery provides a battery life of up to 10 years under ideal conditions with a 10-minute measurement/transmission interval. This enables long-term autonomous operation with minimal maintenance.

Designed for outdoor applications

With its IP67 rating and UV-resistant enclosure, the EM500-UDL is designed for demanding industrial and outdoor environments. Depending on the model, the operating temperature range extends from -30 to +65 °C.

The device supports wall, pole and DIN rail mounting.

Easy configuration via NFC

The EM500-UDL can easily be configured using NFC and a smartphone. Configuration is also possible via USB-C and LoRaWAN downlink.

The sensor provides internal storage for up to 1,000 measurements and supports advanced functions including data retransmission, threshold alarms and change alarms.
