Milesight EM500-SWL draadloze waterniveausensor

The Milesight EM500-SWL is a wireless submersible level sensor designed for measuring and monitoring water levels in tanks, reservoirs, basins, wells and surface water. The submerged probe determines the water level by measuring hydrostatic pressure.

Measurement data is transmitted wirelessly over long distances using LoRaWAN®, making the EM500-SWL particularly suitable for remote locations where cabling or a permanent power supply is unavailable or expensive to install.

Reliable water level measurement

The EM500-SWL uses a submersible stainless steel level probe. As the water level is determined using hydrostatic pressure, measurements are not affected by factors such as foam, wind or rain.

The sensor is available as standard with measuring ranges of 0–3, 0–5 and 0–10 metres H₂O. For specific applications, customised measuring ranges up to 200 metres and versions for other non-corrosive liquids are available.

The sensor provides an accuracy of ±0.5% FS and a resolution of 0.01 metres.

Wireless monitoring via LoRaWAN

LoRaWAN® enables measurement data to be transmitted over long distances to a gateway. This allows water levels to be continuously monitored even at remote or difficult-to-access locations.

The EM500-SWL is powered by a 19,000 mAh Li-SOCl₂ battery. Under ideal conditions, the battery can provide up to 10 years of operation with a 10-minute measurement and transmission interval.

Designed for demanding environments

The submersible level probe is manufactured from 304 stainless steel and has an IP68 ingress protection rating. The LoRaWAN transceiver is housed in an IP67 enclosure and can be installed on a wall, pole or DIN rail.

This makes the system suitable for long-term monitoring in industrial and outdoor environments.

Easy configuration and data logging

The EM500-SWL can easily be configured via NFC using a smartphone. Configuration is also possible via USB-C and LoRaWAN downlink.

The internal data logger can store up to 1,000 measurements. The sensor also supports data retransmission, data retrieval and threshold alarms.
