Milesight EM500-PT100 Wireless Pt100 Temperature Sensor

Measurement data is transmitted wirelessly over long distances via LoRaWAN®, making the EM500-PT100 ideal for temperature monitoring of industrial machinery, pipes, ovens, installations and laboratory applications.

Accurate Pt100 temperature measurement

The EM500-PT100 uses a platinum resistance temperature sensor. Pt100 sensors are known for their excellent stability and accuracy and are widely used for professional and industrial temperature measurement.

A 3-wire connection is used to minimise the influence of cable resistance on the temperature measurement.

Several standard measuring ranges are available:

• T050: -200 to +50 °C
• T200: -50 to +200 °C
• T500: -50 to +500 °C
• T800: -50 to +800 °C

Customised versions within a range of -200 to +800 °C are also available.

Designed for industrial applications

The exceptionally wide temperature range makes the EM500-PT100 suitable for a broad variety of applications. These include temperature measurements on industrial machinery, ovens, pipes and technical installations, as well as laboratory and research environments.

The Pt100 probe is installed directly in or against the process to be measured. Different probe designs and customised cable lengths are available, allowing the sensor to be adapted to the application.

Wireless monitoring via LoRaWAN

Measurement data is transmitted via LoRaWAN®, enabling temperature monitoring at locations where installing communication cabling would be difficult or expensive.

Combined with a LoRaWAN gateway, multiple measurement points can be integrated into a single network. This makes the EM500-PT100 suitable for both individual temperature measurements and larger wireless monitoring systems.

Robust design for demanding environments

The transmitter has an IP67-rated enclosure and is resistant to UV exposure and vibration. This makes the EM500-PT100 suitable for demanding industrial environments and outdoor locations.

The transmitter supports wall, pole and DIN rail mounting.

Long battery life

The EM500-PT100 is powered by a high-capacity 19,000 mAh Li-SOCl₂ battery. With a 10-minute measurement and transmission interval, battery life can reach up to 10 years under ideal conditions.

This enables long-term wireless temperature monitoring with minimal maintenance requirements.

Easy configuration and data logging

The EM500-PT100 can easily be configured using a smartphone via NFC. Configuration is also possible via USB-C and LoRaWAN downlink.

The internal data logger stores up to 1,000 measurements. Features including data retransmission, data retrieval, threshold alarms and change alarms help ensure reliable temperature monitoring.
