The Milesight EM500-CO2 is a rugged LoRaWAN sensor that wirelessly measures four important environmental parameters: CO₂ concentration, temperature, relative humidity and barometric pressure. It is designed for applications requiring reliable climate monitoring, including outdoor and demanding environments.
CO₂ concentration is measured using a stable NDIR sensor with a measuring range of 400 to 5,000 ppm. This makes the EM500-CO2 suitable for climate monitoring in greenhouses, fruit and vegetable storage facilities, wine cellars, agricultural environments and technical installations.
Measurement data is transmitted wirelessly via LoRaWAN. Depending on the environment, the communication range can reach approximately 2 kilometres in urban areas and 15 kilometres in rural areas. Its IP65 enclosure and operating temperature range of -30 to +70 °C enable reliable long-term use in a wide variety of environments.
The sensor can be configured easily via NFC using a smartphone and the Milesight ToolBox app. The EM500-CO2 stores up to 1,000 measurements locally and supports threshold alarms, calibration, data retransmission and historical data retrieval. At a ten-minute reporting interval, the replaceable battery provides an expected service life of up to ten years.
