TFT stands for thin-film transistor. TFT displays use thin-film transistor technology, which involves adding a layer to an LCD to produce even better and sharper images. Each sub-pixel of the TFT contains a tiny integrated transistor. This allows the sub-pixels to be switched on and off individually. The technology makes allows screens to present bright, vivid high-resolution colour images. What’s more, the response time is fast, which offers obvious benefits, especially when it comes to video playback.
