What is a TFT display?

TFT stands for thin-film transistor. TFT displays use thin-film transistor technology, which involves adding a layer to an LCD to produce even better and sharper images. Each sub-pixel of the TFT contains a tiny integrated transistor. This allows the sub-pixels to be switched on and off individually. The technology makes allows screens to present bright, vivid high-resolution colour images. What’s more, the response time is fast, which offers obvious benefits, especially when it comes to video playback.

TFT is therefore the new standard in LCDs!

 

TFT display applications

Pedak’s TFT displays have been specially designed for industrial applications. They offer a long service life of 50,000 hours and an operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C. In addition, TFT displays usually have a long uptime of up to ten years!

Backlighting is provided by bright, high-quality LEDs. UNI TFT displays have a brightness of more than 1000cd/m², so they are easy to read even in direct sunlight.

User-friendly programming using the manufacturer’s own software combined with pre-programmed modules saves time.
