What is a humidity sensor?

Humidity sensors use either a capacitive or electrolytic measuring component that converts the change in humidity into an analogue or digital signal. They are often used in conjunction with a temperature sensor to create a clearer picture of the climate within a space.

 

Permanent setup for humidity sensors

In a permanent setup, the humidity sensor is mounted in a fixed position. The readings are transmitted to a regulation system, building management system or monitoring system, allowing continuous monitoring and/or registration that is both accurate and reliable.

Humidity sensors applications

Reliable measurement of high humidity, for purposes such as germinating plants, measuring humidity in explosive environments or where there are high ambient temperatures, for instance, in drying processes. Which humidity sensor do you need?
