Thermography for the automotive industry

From metalworking to fitting plastic components, temperature is an important factor in the automotive industry. For example, in the final finishing in the spray shop, the right temperature plays a key role in curing paint. Any fluctuations can result in a poor finish and production losses. Thermal cameras are therefore inextricably linked to many processes in virtually all production phases

Thermography also plays a major part in the production of fuel tanks, car tyres, distribution belts and exhaust systems. Thermal cameras are indispensable in the manufacture and installation of car windows too.

At Pedak we have the specialist knowledge, expertise and equipment to give you the best advice on how to use thermography in the automotive industry.

Monitoring in the automotive industry

It’s about safety as well as quality. For example, when industrial heaters are in use, they are continuously monitored using a monitoring system. This system logs and monitors the measured values it receives. By setting limit values, a monitoring system can trigger actions if there are any deviations; for instance, by activating a warning signal or safety protocol.
