LI-COR® LAI-2200C Plant Canopy Analyzer
The LAI-2200C is the high-end solution for indirect measurements of Leaf Area Index (LAI) and related canopy structure parameters. The instrument measures leaf area in a non-destructive and highly accurate manner by analysing light attenuation at multiple angles – making it ideal for research in forestry, agriculture, ecology, and environmental sci
The LAI-2200C uses an advanced optical sensor with a fisheye lens and five concentric detector rings to measure light attenuation above and below the canopy, enabling the calculation of LAI and other canopy parameters.
This method is completely non-destructive and operates under most ambient light conditions, making the instrument exceptionally versatile — from row crops to isolated trees and dense forest stands.
Key Features
Non-destructive LAI measurement
Measure canopy leaf area without harvesting or damaging vegetation.
Flexible operation
Suitable for a wide range of vegetation types and varying light conditions.
Multiple viewing angles
Determines LAI using simultaneous data from five zenith angles.
Advanced data processing
Integrates multi-angle light measurements for accurate and reliable canopy analysis.
