
Hobo RXW-LWA-xxx – Onset
HOBOnet leaf wetness sensor, a complete system requires at least one Hobo RX3000 monitoring station with a HOBOnet wireless manager (RXMOD-RXW-xxx) or one Hobo MicroRX station (which has an integrated HOBOnet wireless manager).
The HOBOnet leaf wetness sensor provides accurate leaf wetness data for a variety of growing and research applications. The sensor is ready to use and does not require any painting or coating. It uses a capacitive grid that is less sensitive to surface residues than resistive grid-based sensors and comes preconditioned for long-term stability and consistent measurements between sensors. The HOBOnet wireless sensors communicate data directly to the Hobo RX3000 or the Hobo MicroRX station or pass data through other wireless sensors back to the base station. They are preconfigured and ready to deploy and data can be accessed through HOBOlink, Onset’s innovative cloud-based software platform.
This sensor does not require anymore painting or coating, it is preconditioned for consistent measurements. 3 meters of cable and a mounting bracket is included. This wireless sensor communicates through a 900 MHz wireless mesh self-healing technology. It has a wireless signal range up to 450 to 600 meter and up to five hops, the HOBOnet wireless repeaters (RXW-RPTR-xxx or RXW-RPTR-B-xxx) can be added to extend the range. You can add up to 50 wireless sensors or 336 data channels per Hobo RX station. A simple button push makes sure to join the HOBOnet wireless network and it has an onboard memory to ensure no data loss. It is powered by rechargeable AA batteries and built-in solar panel.
